Greetings to our members and supporters of UPHA! I hope all of you are surviving our extra hot summer so far and are appreciating the much needed rain and cooler temperatures. As our current Executive Director, Paul Wightman, prepares to retire, we are moving closer to selecting the best person to work with our volunteer board and continue to move UPHA forward in the upcoming years. We have invited three amazing candidates on to a second interview and are hoping to fill the position by the end of August or early September. Be on the lookout for information on a BIG retirement party honoring Paul. He has worked tirelessly for public health for many hears and has earned this opportunity to spend quality time with his family.
UPHA Now Accepting Applications for 2021 Mini Grants
The Utah Public Health Association has been working diligently to establish and offer mini grants to communities and individuals for projects that are focused on protecting and improving the health of Utah citizens. UPHA is pleased to announce the availability of three grants for public health projects. Each grant award will be up to $1,000.
