I am Public Health

Did you know the Southwest Utah Public Health Department (SWUPHD) has started publishing a magazine to inform the community about health and prevention issues?

Southwest Utah Public Health Magazine is a 32-page publication with articles written by staff members and contributors from the community. Some are based on interviews with people who have important public health-related stories; including:

  • A produce co-op coordinator;
  • A school teacher who incorporates exercise into the classroom;
  • A mother who lost her infant to pertussis;
  • and former HHS Secretary Michael Leavitt.

Design and printing coordination are done through Creatus, a local marketing company, and funding for the project comes from several department sources along with advertising sponsors.
